"Responding to Climate Change"

Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions, or in the distribution of weather around the average conditions.

Scientists actively work to understand past and future climate by using observations and theoretical models. Borehole temperature profiles, ice cores, floral and faunal records, glacial and periglacial processes, stable isotope and other sediment analyses, and sea level records serve to provide a climate record that spans the geologic past. More recent data are provided by the instrumental record. Physically based general circulation modelsare often used in theoretical approaches to match past climate data, make future projections, and link causes and effects in climate change.

 On the broadest scale, the rate at which energy is received from the sun and the rate at which it is lost to space determine the equilibrium temperature and climate of Earth. This energy is distributed around the globe by winds, ocean currents, and other mechanisms to affect the climates of different regions.

"Upholding English Proficiency for Communicative Competence"

             English Language is now the most widely used language in the world. It is spoken as a first language by a majority of the inhabitants of several nations.

            Communicative Competence refers to a language uses grammatical knowledge of syntax, morphology and the like as well as social knowledge about how and when to use utterance appropriately.

                Language Proficiency is our ability as an individual to speak or perform in an acquired language. We all know that English is the universal language. We need to speak English so that we can communicate easier and faster.

Scientricity: Energizing Science Clubbers for Sustainable Energy

Energy conservation refers to efforts made to reduce energy consumption. Energy conservation can be achieved through increased efficient energy use, in conjunction with decreased energy consumption and/or reduced consumption from conventional energy sources.

Sustainable energy is the sustainable provision of energy that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Technologies that promote sustainable energy include renewable energy sources, such as hydroelectricity, solar energy, wind energy, wave power, geothermal energy, and tidal power, and also technologies designed to improve energy efficiency.

Scientricity: Energizing Science Clubbers to Sustainable energy. We must support this scientricity because it can help us as a science clubber to sustain energy. Using our resources properly can sustain our energy. We must protect our natural resources like trees, seas/oceans, forest and many more because it can help us in our daily living. Protecting them is for our safety. Being responsible for those task is so hard but try to think of it, it's for our own safety so never doubt when taking the responsibility in our surrounding/ nature. Living in a sustainable country can make people energizing too.

            

MY TEACHER MY HERO

            We all have the one who influence our life and journey to be good and deserving leader or our inspiration in life. Heroes are made for us like superman, batman, wonderwoman and others but my hero is different from them. My teacher is my hero.

            Being a teacher is a hard work. They do everything to teach their students to improve their learnings even if they are already tired. They became the second parent who guides them on their journey. So she is my second mother. My teacher whom I considered my hero is Mrs. Corzon Quinez Peneyra. She became my teacher for more than two years. She is a good teacher in English. I met her since I entered elementary. Even if she is not my teacher in Grades I to IV, she tries her best to teach me specially in spelling and grammars. She always called me at lunch times for teaching lessons. She teached me the proper pronunciation of words, how to read properly and correct spelling.She teached me also how to become a good leader and model. She told me also that I should have my inspiration in life in order to achieve my goal. I became a good leader because of her. Without my hero, I don’t know what to do anymore. I gain a lot of things from her and this things will stay in my heart and mind forever.

            Having a hero is one of our goal. We must have our own hero and inspiration in life. My teacher is my hero. I am very thankful for having her my hero. And someday I should be like her.

“My Modern Day Hero”

            Heroes are made for us. God made them for us to become good and deserving son/daughter of God. We all have our own modern day hero. A hero that will serve as our model in life.

            Everyday, I’m with my mother. She is my savior. She is always there for me even though she is tired. She gave me all my needs. When I’m sick, she is there for me. She tries her best to do all she need to do so that I will feel better. She buy me expensive medicines for me to get better. She buy me also lot fruits. When i am sleeping, she is there to guide me. I am very thankful that I have my loving mother. I consider her as my modern day hero because she is my hero everyday. Not only everyday but forever and ever. I will do my best so that my mother will love me more than my love for her. I will never forget her sacrifices for me, for my studies and my everyday life.

            We must have our own Modern Day Hero and inspiration life to make us strong. I hope I will be like my mother. I would be a model and inspiration to my friends, classmates, relatives, family, parents and specially God.

"Tatag ng Wikang Filipino, Lakas ng Pagka Pilipino"

            Ang wikang Filipino ang pambansang wika at isa sa mga opisyal na wika ng Pilipinas.Isang layunin ng pagkakaroon ng isang wikang pambansa ang pagpapalaganap ng pagkakaisang pambansa, ang pagkakaroon ng heograpiko at pulitikal na pagkakapatiran, at maging ang pagkakaroon ng isang sumasagisag na pambansang wika ng isang bansa.

            Bilang isang tao binigyan tayo ng isipan ng Panginoon upang gamitin at ipalaganap. Maraming tanong sa isipan ng isang tao, mga tanong na nakakaapekto sa bawat galaw, kilos, at desisyon nito. Sa paaralan nalalaman natin ang kahalagahan ng mga baya-bagay katulad nalang ng wikang pambansa. Ang isang bansa na may sariling wika ay nangangahulugang malaya ito. Ang wika ay isang paraan ng komunikasyon. Dahil sa wika nagkakainindihan ang lahat ng tao. Iba't-ibang wika sa bawat lugar, komunidad, at bansa. Mahalaga ang wika ng isang bansa katulad ng Wikang Filipino. Ang Wikang Filipino ay sumisimbolo sa kultura ng mga Pilipino kung sino, ano, at meron sila. Ang isang tao na gumagamit ng Wikang Filpino ibig sabihin isa siyang Pilipino pero bakit ang ibang Pilipino ay ikinakahiya ang kanilang sariling wika? Ito ba ang kanilang sinasabing mahalaga at mahal raw nila kanilang sariling wika ngunit kahit gamitin man lamang ito ay di magawa dahil sa mga masasamang ideya,at kuro-kuro na namuo sa isipan ng ibang tao o mga banyaga tungkol sa Pilipino na dahilan na ikahiya nila ang kanilang sariling wika. Nasa atin na ang desison kung magpapaniwala at magpapaapekto tayo sa mga ganitong bagay daahil tayo lamang mga Pilipino ang nakakaalam kung ano ang katutuhanan. Kung mahalaga talaga ang ating Wikang Pambansa gagaamitin natin ito kahit kailan at saan man tayo magpunta. Si Manuel L. Quezon ang tinaguriang "Ama ng Wikang Pambansa". Siya ang nangunang maghubog ng Wikang Pammbansa na Wikang Filipino. Marami tayong wika dit sa bansa katulad ng Cebuano, Boholano, Ilocano ,Tagalog, at iba pa. Maram tayong iba't-ibang wika dahl sa archepilagong hugis ng ating bansa . layu-layo ang mga lugar at isla na bumubuo nito . Hindi madali ang kay Mannuel L. Quezon at iba pangtagapamahala ng gobyerno na pumili at agtalaga n aing sariling Wika dahil maraming hindii desidido at hindi sang-ayon nito. Hanggang nakapagdesisyon n ang madla na nnag magiging Wikan Pambansa ay ang Wikang Filipino. 
            Sabi pa nga g ating bayani na si Dr. Jose Rizal " Ang hindi marunoong magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa sa malansang isda." Kaya tayong mga Pilipino pahalagahan natin ang ating sariling wika at mahalin ng buong puso, hindi lamang sa salita kundi sa gawa. 
Mahalaga talaga ang wikang filipino sa kasalukuyan dahil nagpapatunay ito na mayroon tayong sariling wikang maipagmamalaki. 
Kailangan protektahan, ipagtanggol ito, mahalin, at higit sa lahat ay huwag nating ikakahiya ang ating wikang Filipino. :D

“Pnoy’s 3rd State of the Nation Address”

 

            The Third State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Benigno S. Aquino III at the House of Representatives on Monday (July 23, 2012) drew mixed reactions from government officials.

            Not everyone was impressed by the President’s 30-page speech which Malacañang said last week will be “truthful” and “inspiring”. SONA brought back pride and dignity in public service. We must believe and realize that we all have an obligation in making our country great again. Within these two years, under Pnoy’s central economic policy Public Private Partnership (PPP), the public has been burdened with unabated price increase in oil and petroleum products, water and power rates. this has impacted the access to food and basic utilities and services of not only the poorest of the poor, but as well as of working middle class.Pnoy delivered one of the longest songs in recent memory, yet he said not a single word about the worsening human rights reward of his administration and the impurity that he continues to prevail.

            This indicates that Pnoy is intent on an all-out war policy against the communist insurgency and will lead to even more human rights violations.

“Pagkain ngGulay Ugaliin, Araw-araw itong Ihain”

                     

  
      A vegetable is an edible plant or part of a plant, but usually excludes seeds and most sweet fruit. This typically means the leaf, stem or root of a plant. We should eat vegetables and make it a habit. Everyday we must serve it.                          

        Eating vegetables make our body strong and healthy. They are the reason why we can stand strong and have a healthy body. Vegetables helps us also improve our physical, social, emotional and spiritual being. We can get lot of proteins, vitamins and carbohydrates. Squash, cabbage, carrots, string beans, okra, eggplant, bitter gourd and others are examples of delicious and healthy vegetables. If we eat them, we can get lot of vitamins. Some children don’t eat vegetables because they know that vegetables are not delicious but they don’t know, vegetables can help them become healthy and strong. It helps also to increase our height and weight. So we should eat lot of vegetables.            
      
        Eating vegetables make it a habit. Everyday serve it to become healthy and strong. :D

Dear Pres. Benigno Aquino III,
               

              Not everybody is given a chance to write you a letter. That's why its a privilege for me to do so.

              First of all I'd like to greet you a pleasant day. Its been years since  you seated and acted as our President. I know its not easy and governing a country is a very big responsibility. I heard a lot about you Sir. In the news, in school and everywhere. Mixed comments are heard everywhere. But I believe that you are really a great person. You are doing your job very well. The Philippines is rising because of your help.

              Mr. President, I am a student of Ilocos Sur National High School. A school were we are given a quality education. i love this school very much sir that's why, I'm appealing to your good heart to help us provide classrooms because of the increasing number of students. I also want our school to have a functional laboratory with complete access of laboratory apparatuses for us Special Science Class students and other Chemistry students. A simple wish of a student.
